Amerita, Inc. is a leading provider in home Infusion therapy. We are looking for a Nurse Manager to join our Nursing team as we grow to be one of the top home infusion providers in the country. The role will report to the HM and work in our location branch.

The home infusion market is positioned for rapid growth driven by the aging population, increase in chronic diseases, robust pipeline of infusible drugs coming to market, and an industry shift from hospital delivery settings to lower-cost, high-quality alternative providers such as Amerita.

 

As a core member of the Nursing team, you will be expected to oversee all of the branch nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, labor costs, clinical care and quality assurance. Responsibilities

As a Nurse Manager, you will...

  • Ensure that nursing services are provided to patients in a professional and appropriate manner and in compliance with company policies and procedures, state and federal regulatory requirements and accepted clinical standards. Ensure that policies and procedures comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee patient care coordination with the Pharmacy staff and with outside Nursing agencies as indicated.
  • Develop and oversee a Quality Assurance program. Monitor quality improvement activities and compliance to policies and procedures with QA tools and regular audits.
  • Hire, coach, ensure continuing education, appraise performance and supervise of all branch nursing staff.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of the nursing staff.
  • Provide safe and professional nursing care to infusion patients, including patient education, direct patient care, ongoing clinical monitoring, care planning and care coordination.
  • Ensure 24/7 day availability of nursing care using on-call nurses after business hours and maintain on-call schedule.
  • Support sales staff in growing new business by accompanying them on sales calls to discuss clinical services and programs, contribute to the development of marketing tools and programs, marketing documentation and clinical programs.
  • Develop and present in-services to referrals sources.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in nursing management
  • Previous infusion and home health care experience
  • Extensive experience in IV therapy
  • Current CPR certification
  • Flexible schedule with the availability to work on-call evenings, weekends and holidays on an as-scheduled basis
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and evidence of automobile insurance
