Amerita, Inc. is a leading provider in home Infusion therapy. We are looking for a Nursing Lead to join our Nursing team as we grow to be one of the top home infusion providers in the country. The Nursing Lead will report to the Nurse Manager and work in our Centennial, CO branch.

 

Amerita is an entrepreneurial-founded company and a wholly owned subsidiary of PharMerica. The home infusion market is positioned for rapid growth driven by the aging population, increase in chronic diseases, robust pipeline of infusible drugs coming to market, and an industry shift from hospital delivery settings to lower-cost, high-quality alternative providers such as Amerita.

 

As a core member of the Nursing team, you will be expected to assist the Nurse Manager with the supervision and delivery of home nursing services to patients and strive to provide the highest quality of care. Responsibilities

As a Nursing Lead, you will...

  • Understand and adhere to all applicable regulations, standards and federal, state and local laws and established branch policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, guide and develop patient care, personnel skills and performances. Serve as a resource to the Nurse Manager and branch staff.
  • Consult with the Nurse Manager in determining a staffing pattern that will accomplish stated objectives and promote efficient utilization of patient care personnel.
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate and terminate personnel; institute, interpret and document disciplinary action.
  • Follow policies and procedures and use appropriate channels for changes of such policies.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary team services, including community agencies, as appropriate.
  • Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
  • Develop a cooperative relationship and communicate effectively and professionally with physicians and referral sources.
  • Assist with the Branch’s ongoing Quality Improvement (QI) program.
  • Assist Nurse Manager in conducting patient care conferences and staff meetings and maintain documentation. Participate in community education projects.
  • Provide direct patient care and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Act as Nurse Manager in the Nurse Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in Colorado
  • The skilled nursing and other therapeutic services furnished are under the supervision and direction of a physician or a registered nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years home health nursing experience, preferably in home infusion
  • 1 year of supervisory experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
  • Ability to work with individuals to enlist cooperation of many people to perform/achieve a common goal
