Overview

Amerita, Inc. is a leading provider in home Infusion therapy. We are looking for a Director of 340B Sales and Trade to join our Sales team as we grow to be one of the top home infusion providers in the country. The Director of 340B Sales and Trade will report to the Vice President of Sales and work remotely anywhere in the United States.

 

Amerita is an entrepreneurial-founded company and a wholly owned subsidiary of PharMerica. The home infusion market is positioned for rapid growth driven by the aging population, increase in chronic diseases, robust pipeline of infusible drugs coming to market, and an industry shift from hospital delivery settings to lower-cost, high-quality alternative providers such as Amerita.

 

As a core member of the Sales team, you will be expected to evaluate, build and implement a 340B and Manufacturer strategic plan for all markets nationwide. We will help you achieve your goals through continuous professional development and regular career progression discussions.

Responsibilities

As the Director of 340B Sales and Trade, you will...

  • Lead the business development strategy targeted at 340B covered entities to become a contract pharmacy, develop new revenue opportunities and reduce economic risk in target markets.
  • Proactively sell 340B program to strategically targeted covered entities.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of 340B and Trade strategy and contracting initiatives that will drive additional revenue for the company. Ensure that 340B covered entities have an account development plan and that plans are updated annually.
  • Proactively meet with manufacturer trade relations and seek out strategic opportunities for broader collaboration and partnership. Sell access to targeted limited distribution drugs and payer service agreements to targeted manufacturers.
  • Monitor performance of new contracts to ensure Key Performance Indicators and budgeted expectations are being met.
  • Ensure contracting process, pipeline management and reporting are appropriate to support company financial objectives.
  • Participate in projects, planning and events that are important to the business, including trade shows and educational events, to promote company services, visibility and relevance to payer.
  • Engage in strategic trade relations discussions for expanding product offering and service capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field required; advanced degree in business, marketing, public health or a related field desirable
  • At least 5 years of 340B sales and trade relations experience with a health services or ancillary company
  • Significant experience directly selling into covered entities and manufacturer trade with a track record of success
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and resource management skills
  • Strong ability to successfully ‘sell’ ideas and strategies key decision makers
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of scientific, financial and market research data to make management decisions
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Proven leadership and ability to motivate team members
  • General business and financial acumen
  • Comprehensive understanding of managed care terminology, contracting environment, procedures and workflows
